Fall 2021 Parking Policy for Faculty and Staff

Dear Faculty and Staff, 

As we prepare for the fall 2021 semester, we know that many have been asking about the parking policies that will be in place when we return to campus. All faculty and staff will be required to have a valid permit to park on campus and will be required to park in their assigned zones beginning on August 31, 2021, the first day of the new academic year.

All parking permits and payroll deductions were canceled last year. As a result, all faculty and staff will be required to re-enroll and to purchase a new permit for the 2021-2022 academic year. Beginning on July 6, 2021, faculty and staff may go to the forms section of the Parking Services Website and complete the Permit Registration Form. You must return the completed form to parking@umbc.edu by no later than August 13, 2021. The cost of permits will remain at $280 per year for D Permits and $380 per year for E Permits. For your security, we will no longer require you to put your social security number on the form.

Starting this year, annual permits will be valid for three years and will automatically renew. All annual permits must be purchased using payroll deduction; the cost for parking will be deducted over 20 pay periods beginning in September. We will no longer accept payment in advance. All faculty and staff must have a valid permit to park on campus beginning on August 31, the first day of the new academic year.
